Instructor
Christine Gryszkiewicz
Yoga Instructor at Purely Mat Pilates, Tuckahoe. Two yoga classes a week.
Christine is a 620 hour certified yoga instructor since 2022, specializing in Hatha and Yin yoga, as well as a group fitness instructor. She believes that movement is more than just physical—it is a pathway to reconnecting with ourselves, creating balance, and nurturing the mind-body connection.
Christine's love for yoga began with her very first class, where she was captivated by the feeling of being both grounded and invigorated at the same time. That experience opened her eyes to the beautiful relationship between movement, breath, and the mind, inspiring her to share that feeling with others.
She believes the body is a temple—something to honor, nourish, and care for. Whether through mindful movement, strength, stillness, or breath, Christine's intention is to create a space where people can let go, reconnect, and truly feel at home in their bodies.
Her mission is simple: to help people feel good in their bodies, move with intention, and leave each practice feeling more connected, energized, and alive.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha practice is designed to bring you home to your body. We will begin with deep, mindful stretching to release tension and gently prepare the body for longer-held poses. Movement will be paired with your breath. In our Hatha practice we will cultivate strength and flexibility, and deepen our mind-body connection. All levels are welcome, with modifications offered to honor and support your unique practice. Leave feeling grounded, open, and renewed.
Yin Yoga
Breathe, soften and release. Yin is a slow, intentional, floor-based practice designed to help you decompress, quiet the mind, and soften the body. Postures are held for 3–6 minutes, allowing you to gently access the deeper connective tissues and fascia, releasing stress and encouraging the nervous system to settle into a state of relaxation. Through stillness, breath, and surrender, Yin invites you to let go of tension and create space within, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to yourself.
